The Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosay of Namyang

the statue of our lady of namyang nad pilgrims

The statue of our lady of namyang The Statue of the Holy Mother at the site took 10 years of preparation and construction and was completed on May 3, 2003. Erected at the end of the 20-Decade Rosary Road at the Shrine, the uniquely-designed statue stands extending her arms and opening herself to all those who love her, with the young Jesus holding onto his mother. The statue expresses the desire of all of us who rely on the Holy Mother and inspires in us, as we watch her, to want to hold onto her as the young Jesus does.

Although the statue has been in existence for a relatively short time, it has the shining smudges of the countless people who pray while holding the infant Jesus' hand and her garment. How we believers love and favor the Holy Mother at Rosary Hill!

The Statue of the Holy Mother has also been on display at different locations, including the Korean Catholic church in Ottawa, Canada in 2005 and several churches within Korea. Aside from those in Namyang, the Statue is adored by many believers in different places. On October 9, 2005, the Marianists from 38 different nations chose Mary of Rosary Hill as the "Holy Mother of Korea."
